Regional connectivity and infrastructure key to Montenegro’s economic growth

President of Montenegro, Jakov Milatović, emphasized that improved regional connectivity and continued development of transport infrastructure projects, with the support of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), are crucial for Montenegro’s further economic progress.

During a meeting with members of the EBRD board of directors, President Milatović discussed the current socio-political situation in the country and stressed the importance of developing infrastructure to high European standards, coordinated with and financed by European banks and EU grants.

Milatović highlighted the significance of EBRD’s support and partnership in providing favorable and transparent financing for future key infrastructure projects in Montenegro.

He noted EBRD’s contribution to enhancing the competitiveness of Montenegro’s small and medium-sized enterprises and underscored the importance of establishing a credit guarantee fund with EBRD support as soon as possible.
