IRF dedicated to strengthening economic ties between Montenegro and Turkey

According to its representatives, the Investment and Development Fund (IDF) is dedicated to strengthening economic ties between Montenegro and Turkey.

At the meeting between IRF Executive Director Irena Radović and Turkey‘s Ambassador to Montenegro, Bariš Kalkavan, IRF’s strong determination to strengthen economic cooperation between the two countries was highlighted.

They discussed the initiatives and projects supported by the Turkish Embassy in Montenegro, including cooperation in the fields of infrastructure, health, education and development of Montenegro as a regional business center, as well as expanding cooperation through the signing of a Memorandum of Cooperation between IRF and the Development Bank of Turkey.

Radović pointed out the development path of the IRF and stressed the commitment to achieving strategic goals that are aligned with state development priorities.

“Also, support for infrastructure projects of local and regional importance was highlighted, in order to encourage balanced regional development.” Respecting global trends in the field of green economy and digital transition, IRF emphasized its commitment to the adoption of modern standards in the field of financing and business operations,” the statement added.

Kalkavan expressed satisfaction with the meeting, emphasizing that his country’s relations with Montenegro are outstanding, and announced an initiative with Bloomberg Turkey, where IRF will take part in the promotion of Montenegro as an attractive business destination.
