As part of the Solari 3000+ and 500+ projects, over 29.3 megawatts (MW) of the total 30 MW of solar power plants on the roofs of households and businesses in Montenegro have been completed, announced by EPCG Solar Construction. They also announced plans for the implementation of the 5000+ project this year.
Regarding Solari 3000+ and 500+, the company mentioned that they expect the project to be completed quickly, depending on weather conditions since the installation work at heights is sensitive and requires favorable conditions for mounting solar panels.
“This is a project worth 30 million euros and is implemented in collaboration with the Eco Fund, providing users with a 20 percent discount on the price of the solar power plant. The expected production of this project is around 44 gigawatt-hours (GWh) annually,” stated EPCG Solar Construction.
As for the Solari 5000+ project, they explained that the call for it was concluded in March of the previous year, and the implementation will begin immediately after the completion of the previous project.
“We must mention that the work dynamics at the beginning of the project slowed down due to demanding legal obligations, which involved abundant documentation even for the smallest photovoltaic system. The substantive implementation started in September of last year when these administrative obstacles were overcome,” the company stated. They plan to carry out the 5000+ project during this year.
