As of the end of November, the Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) amounted to over 785 million euros

The total inflow of foreign direct investment (FDI) at the end of November amounted to 785.04 million EUR, while at the same time, 388.18 million EUR left the country, according to preliminary data from the Central Bank (CBCG).

“The net inflow of foreign direct investment from January to November amounted to 396.86 million EUR, which is 46.43% less compared to the same period in 2022,” the CBCG bulletin states.

The total inflow of foreign direct investment is 25.34% lower compared to the corresponding period, resulting from the decline in investments due to intercompany debt and investments in companies and banks, as well as the withdrawal of investments from abroad.

From the country, 81.72 million EUR left for investments by residents abroad, while withdrawals of funds from non-residents invested in Montenegro amounted to 306.46 million EUR.

The inflow of foreign direct investment in the form of equity investments amounted to 505.22 million EUR, accounting for 64.36% of the total. Of this, 412.95 million EUR was invested in real estate, and 92.27 million EUR in companies and banks.

The inflow of FDI in the form of intercompany debt amounted to 246.42 million EUR, accounting for 31.39% of the total inflow.
