Government approves Draft legislation on electronic communications and copyright

The government convened a telephone session and, with the consent of most members, approved the Draft Law on Electronic Communications and the accompanying report from the public consultation.

The government also approved the Draft Amendments and Supplements to the Copyright and Related Rights Law, along with its public consultation report.

The Draft Law on Electronic Communications aims to regulate various aspects of electronic communications, including the provision of electronic communication networks and services, user rights protection, and the conditions for constructing and using these networks.

Additionally, the draft law addresses market competition, efficient management of the radio frequency spectrum and numerical resources, network and service security, and other critical issues related to electronic communications.

The scope of electronic communications activities encompasses the installation, management, and provision of electronic communication networks and related equipment, as well as the delivery of electronic communication services.
