85.98 thousand overnight stays of tourists were realized in December, the most in coastal towns

In December, 39.79 thousand arrivals and 85.98 thousand overnight stays of tourists were realized in collective accommodation in Montenegro, according to Monstat’s preliminary data.

“Out of the total number of overnight stays in collective accommodation, 72.6 percent were made by foreigners, and 27.4 percent by domestic tourists,” the announcement states.

In the structure of overnight stays by type of tourist places in December, the most overnight stays were achieved in coastal towns 67.8 percent, the capital 21.9 percent, mountain towns 6.4 percent and other towns 3.8 percent.

Collective accommodation facilities include hotels, boarding houses, motels, tourist settlements, resorts, hostels and camps and does not include individual, so-called private accommodation – accommodation in houses and rooms for rent, as well as in tourist apartments.
