Spanish low-cost airline Vueling will begin operating the Tivat–Barcelona route earlier next year — starting from March 31, three months ahead of this year’s schedule, the Airports of Montenegro announced after a meeting with Vueling representatives in Barcelona. Tickets are already on sale.

“This means Montenegro will be connected with Spain for the entire seven-month summer aviation season,” said Airports of Montenegro CEO Roko Tolić.

He noted that the route has strong potential, as many Montenegrin passengers this summer used Vueling’s connections from Barcelona to Tenerife, Lisbon, and Nice, reaching destinations across Spain, Portugal, and France.

From next summer, Tivat will also be connected with Madrid for the first time through Iberia Airlines. The agreement results from cooperation between Airports of Montenegro and the IAG Group, which includes Iberia, Vueling, Aer Lingus, Level, and British Airways.
