The company Adriatic Properties, owned by Greek businessman Petros Statis, paid the Hotel Tourism Company (HTP) Miločer and the majority state-owned company Sveti Stefan Hotels, two installments of the lease for the hotel complex Sveti Stefan – Miločer.
Two quarterly installments of 87.5 thousand EUR were paid to HTP Miločer, while Adriatic Properties paid about 380 thousand to Sveti Stefan Hotels.
Adritic properties company manages the hotel complex Sveti Stefan – Miločer, according to the lease agreement signed with the Government and verified in the Assembly in 2007, for a period of 30 years.
The contract for the lease of Sveti Stefan and Villa Miločer was extended for another 12 years with an annex – The contract with HTP Miločer for the lease of the Kraljičina beach hotel was for 30 years, and it was extended for 90 years with the annex.
Two years ago, the residents of Budva, led by the then municipal president Marko Bata Carevic and representatives of the Sveti Stefan community, led by Blažo Radjenović, repeatedly demolished the protective fence. After more trespassing, the management of Aman and Adriatic Properties were forced to close the city-hotel Sveti Stefan and Villa Miločer.
On January 15th, 2007, the government of Prime Minister Željko Šturanović gave the green light to conclude a 30-year lease agreement for Hotel Sveti Stefan, Villa Miločer and Hotel Kraljičina beach.
The signatures were then signed by the directors of HTP Budvanska Riviera and HTP Miločer, as well as representatives of Aidway investments limited from the British Virgin Islands, the Ministry of Tourism and Aman resorts management from the Netherlands.
According to the contract at that time, the guaranteed annual total rent is EUR 1.6 million, but the contract also stipulates that the rent can be revised every third year. The lessee undertook to keep the hotels open for a minimum of 11 months, but also to invest 50 million in the reconstruction of Sveti Stefan.
