When the then mayor of Podgorica, Ivan Vuković, announced in July of last year that the popular Starbucks coffee shop chain would open its facility in Podgorica, it caused a great reaction from the public.

As it was said then, Starbucks was supposed to open its cafeteria by the end of 2022, as part of an investment of five million euros.

However, from then until today, the public has been deprived of information about when the people of Podgorica will be able to enjoy drinking the popular coffee, which is special in many ways.

The company Zeren Holding, which brings Starbucks to Montenegro, cooperates with the owners of the famous franchise.

As they point out, the project is actively continuing.

– We, just like you, want this project to be implemented in Montenegro as soon as possible. The project is actively continuing. All our efforts are directed in this direction. Although we don’t advertise much at the moment, the citizens of Montenegro should know that every effort is being made to open Starbucks as soon as possible – the Zeren Holding company stated.

According to earlier announcements, the opening of Starbucks should provide 50 new jobs.

And when can we expect the famous cafeteria to open its doors in our capital city?

– We expect to open by the end of 2023.

The first Starbucks was opened way back in 1971 in Seattle in the United States of America (USA), and the name of the franchise itself was inspired by the famous novel Moby Dick (by Herman Melville), thus symbolizing the tradition of overseas travels of the first coffee traders.

Today, Starbucks is present on six continents in 74 countries, with over 23,000 branches.

What can citizens expect when it comes to marketing popular coffee on our market?

– The culture of drinking coffee is strongly represented among the citizens of Montenegro, so the arrival of a worldwide franchise will provide a unique experience for all lovers of quality coffee. We are sure that the pleasant atmosphere of the first Starbucks cafeteria in Montenegro will be a favorite meeting place and pleasure for all generations – Zeren Holding concluded.
