Sozina Tunnel sees 764,930 vehicles in 2025, connecting Montenegro’s coastal and central regions

The Sozina Tunnel has serviced 764,930 vehicles since the beginning of the year.

According to data from the Monteput website, which manages the tunnel, a total of 3.78 million vehicles passed through the tunnel last year.

In 2023, 3.52 million vehicles used the tunnel, while in 2022, the number was 3.07 million.

The Sozina Tunnel, which opened in July 2005, cost approximately €74 million to build. Of this amount, €50 million was provided by Montenegro, while the remaining €24 million was secured through a loan from the European Investment Bank (EIB).

The tunnel is 4.19 kilometers long and connects the coastal region with the central part of Montenegro.
