The joint offer from Dornier Group East and Dornier Suntrace GmbH has been selected as the most favorable in the tender for the development of an advanced study of the location of the Krupac solar power plant in Nikšić, along with a proposed plant concept.
The tender was announced in April by Elektroprivreda Crne Gore, with a value of EUR 25,000 excluding VAT. The companies awarded the contract submitted an offer worth EUR 23,111 including VAT.
According to the project task, the preliminary techno-economic elaboration on the possibilities of constructing the SPP Krupac on EPCG’s proprietary land established the basic framework and assumptions of the potential project for building the SPP Krupac and the justification for further project activities.
“The advanced study is based on a reliable topographic terrain model formed by LIDAR technology. The study subject to this public call represents an advanced assessment of the photovoltaic solar power plant capacity of approximately 47 MWp, which Elektroprivreda plans to build, including a proposal for the basic plant design,” it stated.
The project location is in the municipality of Nikšić in Montenegro. The research area is located near Lake Krupac and is about 7 km away from the center of Nikšić. It is expected that the plant will cover approximately 42.5 hectares.
According to the project task, the basic PV plant design will include selecting the most suitable location(s) for the plant and determining the solar capacity that can be installed in that area. This will also include an assessment of solar resources and an energy yield assessment at the selected location, followed by techno-economic optimization and an assessment of the project’s CAPEX and OPEX.
Additionally, once the location is selected, the consultant will assess the potential solar resources and prepare an initial file of a typical meteorological year (TMY) to be used in the energy yield assessment. Based on the basic plant design, the consultant will prepare an energy yield assessment report for the location, including the description of the location and the sources/meteorological data used, the assessment of all system losses, the plant’s performance ratio, the energy yield of the plant, variations in yield and performance ratio during the plant’s lifetime, and the uncertainty of the assessments.
The consultant will also conduct technical and economic optimization of the photovoltaic plant to provide the client with the best potential solution.
As stated in the tender, the contract execution period is five months from the date of contract signing.
