Production of primary electricity 1.76 thousand GWh

Production of primary electricity in Montenegro last year amounted to 1.76 thousand gigawatt hours (GWh), and from transformations 1.55 thousand GWh, preliminary data from Monstat show.
Statisticians announced that the import of electricity amounted to 8.47 thousand GWh, while the export was 8.33 thousand GWh.
“The consumption of the energy branch amounted to 106.1 GWh, and the losses of transmission and distribution of electricity amounted to 528.2 GWh,” the announcement states
The total amount of electricity available for final consumption last year was 2.82 thousand GWh.
The highest consumption was achieved in the household sector 48.9 percent, other sectors 43.9 percent, and industry activities 7.2 percent.
