Over 495,000 vehicles travel on Princess Ksenija Highway in 2025, toll fees and key infrastructure details

According to data from Monteput, 495.94 thousand vehicles have passed through the Princess Ksenija highway since the beginning of this year.

In 2023, a total of 2.87 million vehicles used the highway, while in 2022, the number was 2.29 million, and in 2021, it was 1.14 million.

The priority section of the Bar-Boljare highway was officially opened on July 13, 2022, and traffic was allowed the following day. The first seven days of travel were toll-free. After that, the toll fees are 1.5 EUR for motorcycles, 3.5 EUR for passenger vehicles, and 17 EUR for trucks and buses.

The total length of the first section of the highway is 41.5 kilometers, featuring 20 bridges along the main route, nine bridges at ramp loops, two overpasses, eight underpasses, 7.2 kilometers of concrete walls, and 16 twin tunnels.

The section includes four loops with toll booths that connect the highway to the existing road system: Smokovac, Pelev Brijeg, Veruša, and Mateševo.
