According to data from the Central Bank of Montenegro (CBCG), by the end of March, 20,960 businesses and entrepreneurs in Montenegro had their accounts blocked, an increase of 0.34% compared to the end of February.
The total amount of debt resulting in account blockages stands at 1.4 billion EUR, which is a 1.16% increase from February.
The concentration of debt is relatively high, with the ten largest debtors, making up just 0.05% of the total registered, accounting for 33.44% of the total blocked amount. These ten debtors have 469.34 million EUR in blocked funds.
Additionally, 52.25% of the total blocked amount, or 733.46 million EUR, is attributed to the 50 largest debtors, who represent 0.24% of all registered entities.
There are 1,450 debtors in a continuous block for up to one year, with their total blockage amounting to 23.62 million EUR, which is 1.68% of the total blocked amount.
Over a year, 19,510 companies or entrepreneurs have been in a prolonged blockage, with a total of 1.38 billion EUR in blocked funds.
