Over 2.87 million vehicles traveled on the Princess Ksenija highway in 2024

In the past year, more than 2.87 million vehicles traveled on the Princess Ksenija highway, according to data from Monteput’s website.

Since the beginning of this year, 49.44 thousand vehicles have passed through the highway.

In 2024, 2.29 million vehicles used the highway, while in 2023, from its opening in mid-July, a total of 1.14 million vehicles passed through.

The priority section of the Bar-Boljare highway was officially opened on July 13, 2022, and traffic started the following day.

For the first seven days, tolls were free. After that, the tolls were set at 1.5 EUR for motorcycles, 3.5 EUR for passenger vehicles, and 17 EUR for trucks and buses.

The total length of the first section of the highway is 41.5 kilometers, featuring 20 bridges along the main route, nine bridges at the interchange ramps, two overpasses, eight underpasses, 7.2 kilometers of concrete walls, and 16 twin-tube tunnels.

This section includes four interchanges with toll booths, connecting the highway to the existing road network, at Smokovac, Pelev Brijeg, Veruša, and Mateševo.

The maximum speed limit on this section is 100 kilometers per hour.
