Ferries on the Kamenari–Lepetane line have transported over 1.03 million vehicles since the start of the summer season, according to Aleksandar Crvenko, head of the maritime sector at the public company Morsko Dobro.

To improve traffic flow and access to ferries, the company plans to invest in constructing two additional traffic lanes and roundabouts within the next 18 months.

Crvenko highlighted that all vessels in the fleet have been fully serviced and overhauled since coming under state management, with inspections including hull thickness and weld quality. The ferry “30. August” was found to have the best-preserved hull.

Ferries continue to operate on the summer schedule with four daytime crossings and two in the evening, and plans are underway to build dedicated lanes and roundabouts to streamline vehicle access and parking at Kamenari and Lepetane.
