Novi Boksiti expands operations in Nikšić, plans to more than double workforce

Milica Lalatović Žižić, President of the Nikšić Municipal Assembly, visited Block No. 4 of the company Novi Boksiti, where a trial production level started operating a month ago.

Co-owner Ivan Ivanović stated that the company currently employs 60 people and plans to increase the workforce to 150 by next year. He also announced scholarships for students studying geology, mining, and mechanical engineering.

Lalatović Žižić emphasized that the local government will continue to support projects that create jobs and development opportunities in Nikšić, helping residents achieve their professional goals locally. She praised the company’s commitment to sustainable development and environmental protection laws.

Marko Vučinić, acting director of the Directorate for Geology and Mining at the Ministry of Energy and Mining, expressed satisfaction that Nikšić is gaining a new engine for economic growth.
