Montenegro’s unemployment drops by 5.9% in January, 406 new hires recorded

At the end of January, Montenegro had 31,080 unemployed individuals, 5.9% fewer than in December, according to data from the Employment Agency (ZZZ).

The unemployment rate at the end of December last year stood at 11.36%, compared to 13.95% in the same month of 2023.

In January, the Agency recorded 406 new hires.

During the same period, 1,800 job vacancies were announced.
