Montenegro’s mobile phone users reach 1.42 million in June, marking over 3% growth

At the end of June, Montenegro had 1.42 million mobile phone users, representing a 3.32 percent increase compared to May.

The number of users in June corresponds to a penetration rate of 226.94 percent, according to a report from the Agency for Electronic Communications and Postal Services (EKIP).

Compared to the same period last year, the number of users in June increased by 3.07 percent.

Postpaid users accounted for 59.34 percent of the total, while prepaid users made up 40.66 percent.

Among the total number of users, M:tel had the largest share with 601,490 users, or 42.5 percent, followed by Crnogorski Telekom with 488,050 users, or 34.49 percent, and One with 325,700 users, or 23.01 percent.

M:tel held 51.3 percent of all prepaid users, Crnogorski Telekom had 27.64 percent, and One had 21.06 percent.

In June, Crnogorski Telekom accounted for 39.18 percent of postpaid users, M:tel for 36.47 percent, and One for 24.35 percent.
