Montenegro’s industrial production falls by 4.2% in Q1 2025

Industrial production in Montenegro fell by 4.2% in the first quarter compared to the same period last year, according to data from the Statistical Office (Monstat).

“Compared to the first quarter of last year, the mining and quarrying sector and manufacturing industry recorded growth of 11.2% and 1.9%, respectively, while the electricity, gas, steam, and air conditioning supply sector saw a decline of 13.4%,” the statement said.

Industrial production in Montenegro decreased by 20.9% in the first quarter compared to the fourth quarter of last year.

“Compared to the fourth quarter of last year, the mining and quarrying sector saw a decline of 5.2%, manufacturing fell by 31%, and the supply of electricity, gas, steam, and air conditioning decreased by 9%,” the statement concludes.
