Montenegro’s 2025 maritime season passes safely with record enforcement measures

Montenegro’s maritime season 2025 passed without major incidents, thanks to enhanced preventive measures and efficient work by relevant authorities, the Ministry of Maritime Affairs reported.

Officials highlighted improved compliance with maritime regulations, noting that more boaters and citizens acted responsibly, while inspectors maintained high professionalism.

During the summer season, the Maritime Safety Inspection issued 346 fines totaling €87,600, compared to 332 fines (€75,114) in 2024 and 204 fines (€69,700) during summer 2024.

The Ministry confirmed it will continue modernizing monitoring systems, providing additional training, and running awareness campaigns to further enhance safety and protection of life and vessels at sea.
