The Kolašin Ski Center organized the „Diplomat Ski Day“ and on that occasion hosted numerous ambassadors from the region, Europe, and the United States of America.

According to the director of the Ski Resort of Montenegro, Đuro Milošević, such events additionally contribute to the promotion and visibility of Kolašin, but also of Montenegro. “Diplomat Ski Day” was organized on the initiative of the Slovenian ambassador to Montenegro, and Milošević points out that he hopes that this event will take place and become a tradition.

– The embassies of Slovakia, the Czech Republic, Bulgaria, the United Kingdom, the USA, and Croatia participated. The competition was held in men’s and women’s competition, and was more of a show type. It is important that people participate, that they socialize. We hope that it will become traditional and that it will be held every year – said Milosevic.
The Ambassador of Slovenia to Montenegro, Gregor Presker, pointed out that he personally loves skiing and Bjelasica, which encouraged him to introduce the other diplomats to the beauties of Kolašin and Bjelasica, because, according to him, they have the potential to become a competitive ski resort in the region, but also in the world. .

– We gather diplomats, all in the form of promoting Kolašin, winter sports, healthy lifestyle. We want to bring together diplomats who have never been to Kolašin, to try a winter adventure, mostly for the sake of nice socializing, getting to know foreigners about Montenegro and the beauties of Montenegro. I come here privately, I’m there whenever I can, I ski, and I have to admit that the Kolasin ski resort has great potential. If the planned projects continue, it has great potential to become a regional ski center and I hope that it will come to that, because I see that the infrastructure is good and it can compete with Slovenian ski resorts, so I hope that in the future it will be and even better that skiers from Europe and the world will come – said Presker.
The winter season was not very promising at the very beginning, but according to Milošević, it can still be expected that the final figures will show a good result.

The season was supposed to start on December 20, but you all witnessed that the snow fell late, only on January 20, and until a few days ago we had an excellent visit and record revenues, so the delay has largely been remedied. I hope that in the end, when we add up and subtract everything, the season will be successful, because there is still snow, it has been announced for the following days, and we expect the season to be extended for another twenty days – Milošević concluded.
