Montenegro strengthens ties with U.S. to attract investment

Montenegro’s Minister of Economic Development, Nik Gjeloshaj, emphasized that the United States is a strategic ally of Montenegro and that efforts are ongoing to make the country a safe and competitive destination for American investments.

During his visit to Washington, Gjeloshaj met with Richard Grenell, former special envoy of U.S. President Donald Trump. He thanked Grenell for his support of the Balkan region and invited him to back Montenegro’s path toward EU integration, regional cooperation, and stronger U.S. ties.

Gjeloshaj stated that enhancing economic and business relations will further deepen the partnership between the two countries.
