Montenegro Stock Exchange sees 40% drop in May turnover, yearly market capitalization up by EUR 45 million

Total turnover on the Montenegro Stock Exchange in May amounted to EUR 295.4 thousand, marking a 40.49 percent decrease compared to April.

According to the Montenegro Stock Exchange Bulletin, turnover was also down 85.82 percent compared to May last year. The average daily turnover in May stood at EUR 16.41 thousand.

During 18 trading days in May, a total of 97 transactions were completed.

The total turnover on the prime market was EUR 76.5 thousand from 29 transactions.

On the standard market, 20 transactions were executed, totaling EUR 37.76 thousand in turnover.

Meanwhile, 42 transactions were carried out on the free market, generating EUR 136.25 thousand in turnover.

On the MTP ME market, total turnover amounted to EUR 44.89 thousand from six transactions.

The value of the MNSE10 index at the end of May stood at 1,170.75 points, up 16.03 percent compared to the same period last year.

The MONEX index reached 17,550.08 points at the end of May, reflecting a 15.31 percent increase year-over-year.

The market capitalization of regulated market issuers on the Montenegro Stock Exchange was EUR 2.64 billion as of May 31, representing a 1.74 percent increase compared to the same period last year.

Market capitalization grew by EUR 45.19 million over the one-year period.
