The National Tourism Organization (NTO) is showcasing Montenegro’s tourism offerings at the Alpe Adria 2025 fair, taking place in Ljubljana from Wednesday to Saturday.
The local tourism organization of Herceg Novi is responsible for organizing Montenegro’s participation at the event.
“The Alpe Adria Fair, with a rich 35-year tradition, is a key event for all travel and nature enthusiasts. This fair gathers leading domestic and international exhibitors specializing in active, cultural, gastronomic, and sustainable tourism, attracting over 20,000 visitors each year who can explore new destinations in one place,” the statement reads.
The fair places a special emphasis on green and responsible tourism, as well as opportunities for active vacations in nature, making it an unmissable event for those seeking authentic and environmentally conscious travel experiences.
“I’m delighted with the Montenegrin stand. I found inspiration for my next trip here, and I especially like the combination of sea and mountains at such a short distance,” said one of the fair’s visitors.
In addition to the NTO, local tourism organizations from Herceg Novi, Nikšić, Žabljak, Kolašin, Andrijevica, and Mojkovac had the opportunity to present their rich offerings, from mountain adventures to cultural and gastronomic experiences.
Montenegrin Ambassador to Slovenia, Dragan Tufegdžić, said that the Tourism Fair in Ljubljana represents an important opportunity for presenting Montenegro as one of the most beautiful tourist destinations, which it truly is.
“The Alpe Adria Fair is an important platform to help attract more tourists from Slovenia, as well as other EU countries. It is also an opportunity for exchanging experiences and best practices with other tourism organizations present at the fair,” Tufegdžić said.
The Montenegrin stand was one of the most visited, with attendees expressing interest in active vacations in nature and the unique combination of coastal and mountain destinations.
“I’m really impressed with Montenegro’s offerings. The nature is incredible, and the opportunities for active vacations are diverse and affordable. I will definitely consider it for my next trip,” one of the fair visitors shared.
The Slovenian market is particularly important for Montenegro, and promotional activities will continue in the coming period through media campaigns and participation in specialized events, such as the Conventa fair at the end of February, where special attention will be given to the development of MICE tourism and attracting business visitors to Montenegro.
