Montenegro sees strong October tourist arrivals and overnight stays in collective accommodation

In Montenegro, October saw a total of 126.79 thousand tourist arrivals and 348.76 thousand overnight stays in collective accommodation, according to preliminary data from Monstat.

“Of the total number of overnight stays in collective accommodation, 89.4% were by foreign tourists, and 10.6% by domestic tourists,” the statement noted. Regarding the structure of overnight stays by type of tourist destination, most overnight stays were recorded in coastal areas (85.9%), followed by the capital with 9.2%, mountain destinations with 3%, and other areas with 1.9%.

Collective accommodation facilities include hotels, guesthouses, motels, tourist resorts, sanatoriums, hostels and camps, but do not include individual or private accommodation such as rental houses, rooms and tourist apartments.
