Montenegro sees 39,000 arrivals and 81,000 overnight stays in collective accommodation in December

In December of last year, Montenegro recorded 39.17 thousand arrivals and 81.42 thousand overnight stays in collective accommodation, according to preliminary data from the Statistical Office of Montenegro (Monstat).

“Of the total number of overnight stays in collective accommodation, 74.5% were by foreign tourists and 25.5% by domestic tourists,” the statement said. Regarding the distribution of overnight stays by types of tourist destinations in December, the highest number of overnight stays was recorded in coastal areas (65.4%), followed by the capital city (21.3%), mountain resorts (9.3%) and other locations (4.1%).

Collective accommodation includes hotels, guesthouses, motels, tourist settlements, resorts, hostels and camps, but does not cover individual, private accommodation, such as rental houses, rooms, or tourist apartments.
