Montenegro sees 24% growth in gambling revenues amid enhanced oversight and transparency

Total revenues from gambling and games of chance in the first six months of this year reached 18.08 million EUR, marking a 24.24% increase compared to the same period last year, according to the Gambling Administration.

Casino game revenues grew by 31.89%, totaling 2.23 million EUR. Revenues from online gambling and other telecommunication-based games amounted to 7.36 million EUR, with a 39.27% increase in this segment.

Revenues from slot machine clubs rose by 23.15%, reaching 3.54 million EUR, while betting games generated 4.92 million EUR, showing a 5.2% increase.

This positive growth reflects ongoing efforts to improve oversight and transparency through the implementation of a modern information system.

The Gambling Administration emphasized its strong cooperation with the Ministry of Finance in achieving government fiscal stability goals and continuously increasing public revenues.

Moving forward, the Administration plans to strengthen market control mechanisms, uphold integrity, and promote responsible gambling practices.
