Montenegro seeks strategic partnerships to boost energy sector growth and investment

Montenegro’s Minister of Energy and Mining, Admir Šahmanović, highlighted the energy sector as the country’s key growth opportunity, capable of driving economic growth, creating jobs, and ensuring long-term stability.

He emphasized the need for carefully selected strategic partners willing to invest in a sustainable and robust energy sector. Šahmanović noted that past cooperation with Masdar, through the Krnovo wind farm, provides a solid foundation for more ambitious future projects.

Masdar’s CEO, Mohamed Jameel Al Ramahi, stated that the company has the capital and expertise to expand in Eastern Europe, with Montenegro as a priority in their investment plans.

The Minister stressed that the government is committed to creating a favorable business environment through clear procedures, a stable regulatory framework, and faster administration to ensure investor security and predictability.
