Montenegro seeks investment to develop Port of Bar, inspired by Saudi Arabia’s advanced terminals

Montenegro is open to investment and ready to leverage its maritime potential, said Minister of Maritime Affairs Filip Radulović following a meeting with Saudi Arabia’s Minister of Transport and Logistics Services, Saleh bin Naser Al-Jaser.

Radulović emphasized the need to better develop and utilize the Port of Bar, describing it as a key transit point to European markets and a natural gateway to Europe.

Al-Jaser shared Saudi Arabia’s experience in developing modern port terminals, highlighting the Red Sea Gateway as one of the most technologically advanced port centers in the world, which could serve as a model for Montenegro.

Both ministers expressed satisfaction with the discussions and agreed to continue cooperation through concrete projects and exchange of expertise to strengthen Montenegro’s maritime economy and improve its integration into regional and global logistics networks.
