After a five-day halt, a deal was reached late last night to unblock railway traffic in Montenegro, confirmed Andrej Kaluđerović, a representative of the employees, to Portal Analitika.
“We have reached an agreement. Trains have resumed operations, work has restarted, and the stoppage is over,” Kaluđerović told Analitika.
He emphasized that the agreement addressed salary issues.
“We reached a compromise with management and the Ministry of Transport. Everything has been running normally since this morning,” Kaluđerović added.
The rail traffic stoppage on the Belgrade–Bar line, initiated on the morning of Friday, August 22 by train dispatchers and operators of Montenegro’s Railway Infrastructure (ŽICG), had paralyzed both local and international services, sparking a heated conflict between employees and management.
