Montenegro prepares for strong winter tourism season

Montenegro’s tourism sector is expecting a successful upcoming winter season, according to the Coordination Body for Tourism Season Planning.

Durmitor Tourist Center reported a record summer season and anticipates the winter season to be equally strong, aided by the introduction of artificial snow on the blue slope for the first time.

Kolašin tourism officials confirmed readiness for winter, noting that popular summer events will continue into the winter months. Recent weekends saw 100% hotel occupancy in Kolašin, reflecting growing tourist interest.

Northern municipalities highlighted the need to address road infrastructure, maintenance, and reliable electricity supply during winter. The Ministry of Tourism will coordinate with relevant agencies to resolve these issues.

Additionally, ski bus services will continue this season, with a new route introduced from the Berane municipality.
