Montenegro is a country of potential, ideas, and opportunities, said Ernad Suljević, Minister of Regional and Investment Development and Cooperation with Non-Governmental Organizations, during his participation at the 19th Global Citizenship Conference in London, one of the world’s leading events on investment, global citizenship, and economic development.

According to the Ministry’s statement, speaking on a panel dedicated to the role of governments in creating sustainable economic programs, Minister Suljević presented Montenegro as a stable and attractive destination for investors, characterized by a liberal economic framework and a competitive tax system.

“Montenegro is a country of potential, ideas, and opportunities. We are recognized as one of the most attractive investment destinations in the Mediterranean. Our vision, which we are committed to achieving, is to build a modern European economy based on knowledge, innovation, sustainable growth, and the full utilization of Montenegro’s natural potential,” Suljević emphasized.

He also underlined that Montenegro is the most advanced EU candidate country in the region, with a plan to complete all negotiation chapters by the end of 2026 and become an EU member by 2028. The Minister placed special emphasis on balanced regional development, support for small and medium-sized enterprises, investment in local communities, and the promotion of green and digital technologies.
