Montenegro mobile phone users decline by 3.48% in December, but increase by 7.8% year-on-year

As of the end of December, Montenegro had nearly 1.42 million mobile phone users, a decrease of 3.48% compared to November.

The number of users in December corresponds to a penetration rate of 228.28%, according to the report from the Agency for Electronic Communications and Postal Services (EKIP).

Compared to the same period in 2023, the number of users in December increased by 7.8%.

Postpaid users accounted for 57.8%, while prepaid users made up 42.2% of the total.

Among the total number of users, M:tel had the largest share with 577,250 users (40.78%), followed by Crnogorski Telekom with 497,510 users (35.15%), and One with 340,670 users (24.07%).

M:tel had 47.78% of the total prepaid users, Crnogorski Telekom had 28.75%, and One had 23.47%.

In December, Crnogorski Telekom had 39.82% of postpaid users, M:tel had 35.67%, and One had 24.5%.
