Herceg Novi will again be the European center of comics this spring, because the phenomenal Zerokalkare, a global phenomenon and currently the biggest name of the ninth art in Italy.
The Herceg Novi Association of Comics Lovers, in cooperation with permanent partners the Embassy of the Republic of Italy and the Municipality of Herceg Novi, once again made an effort to prepare an attractive cultural, entertainment and educational program that puts this city at the very top of the European and world comics scene.
The rich program will be opened with an exhibition of a special guest in the Josip Bepo Benković gallery on Friday, April 21, while daily programs of drawing for fans, comic exchanges, workshops, presentations and humanitarian actions will be held in the Park Hall on Saturday, April 22 and on The Pet Danica Promenade, near the Đir café, on Sunday, April 23 – announced the organizers.
As the regular visitors of HSF are used to, there will be no shortage of spectacular musical content, so on Saturday evening, April 22, for the first time in Herceg Novi, the great rock band “Repetitor” will perform as the main stars of the program, while for the opening and closing parties of the weekend will be in charge of permanent friends of the festival Low Voltage and DJ BodziE. As always, all programs organized by HSF are free for visitors.
The special guest of Zerokalkara is accompanied by the editor and co-owner of the Bao Publishing house Mikele Foskini, and the forum where both the artist and the publisher will be presented will be moderated by Dušan Mladenović, editor-in-chief of the Veseli Četvrtak publishing house from Belgrade.
In addition to the Italian phenomenon, the FumOTTO weekend will also feature the HSF Ambassador in the world, the legendary William Simpson, as well as the great stars of Marvel, Dalibor Talajić and Mirko Čolak, as well as the stars of the French comics scene, Jovan Ukropina and Filip Andronik. Along with them, there will be the best comics creators of the region, Štef Bartolić, Krešimir Biuk, Tihomir Tikulin Tico, Tatjana Vidojević, Milan Mišić, Kostja Ribnik, Vlada Marković Luni, and the stars of the local scene Aleksandar and Andrija Vujošević, Miodrag Spasojević, Đorđe Kamenarović and the galaxy young Montenegrin authors who will present themselves to the Herzegovinian audience for the first time.
Of course, the guest list is not final, because HSF always prepares some surprises for the end.
The 8th comic weekend held in Herceg Novi will also include the humanitarian campaign “For Sneža”, so visitors to the festival will be able to buy HSF posters, T-shirts and memorabilia at symbolic prices, from which all proceeds will go towards the treatment of our fellow citizen – the announcement states.
