The state earned an impressive 20 million euros from taking over the ferry service, said Mladen Mikijelj, director of the Public Enterprise Morsko Dobro.

He claimed this revenue exceeds what the previous concessionaire would have earned over 100 years.

Mikijelj emphasized that by ending controversial concession contracts and stopping corrupt business practices, the state secured this significant income.

He also noted that the Kamenari-Lepetani ferry route is breaking records this summer in terms of passenger numbers as well as service quality and speed.
