Montenegro: Cetinje and Nikšic about to get a solar power plant

At the request of the company M Energy from Cetinje, urban planning and technical conditions (UTU) were issued for the construction of solar power plants on the territory of Cetinje and Nikšić.

The total area of ​​the site is approx. 13,000,000 m², according to the previous analyzes conducted by the applicant, it was determined that the maximum possible capacity of the future solar power plant is approx. 385 MW.

As announced by the Government, the locations where solar power plants are planned are located within the catchment of KO Ubli on Cetinje, that is KO Bogetići and Broćanac on the territory of the municipality of Nikšić.

“Urban planning – technical conditions for the preparation of technical documentation for the construction of a facility for the production of electricity from renewable resources – a solar power plant have been issued, in accordance with Article 218c of the Law on Spatial Planning and Building Construction and Article 2 of the Rulebook on Detailed Criteria for the Evaluation of Requests for the Issuance of Urban Planning – technical conditions for the construction of facilities for the production of electricity from renewable sources of the sun and other renewable sources”, it is stated in the Government announcement, eKapija reports.
