Montenegro urged to safeguard intergenerational pension system amid ‘Europe Now 2’ program launch

Montenegro must not jeopardize decades of building a pension system based on intergenerational solidarity, stated President Jakov Milatović. Ahead of today’s presentation of the “Europe Now 2” program, he called on all political actors to adopt a responsible approach.

“Economic populism is contrary to Montenegro’s sustainable development,” Milatović assessed on the social network X.

Reminder, representatives of the Montenegrin Government will present the “Europe Now 2” program today.

The press conference will feature Prime Minister Milojko Spajić, Minister of Labor and Social Welfare Naida Nišić, Minister of Finance Novica Vuković, Chief of the Prime Minister’s Cabinet Branko Krvavac, and Milena Milović, Economic Policy Advisor to the Prime Minister.
