Industrial product prices in Montenegro rise slightly in Q3 2024

Industrial product prices from imports in Montenegro increased by 0.2% in the third quarter compared to the same period last year, according to data from the Statistical Office of Montenegro (Monstat).

“Compared to the third quarter of the previous year, the mining and quarrying sector and the manufacturing industry recorded a 1.6% and 0.2% increase, respectively,” the statement reads.

In comparison to the second quarter of 2024, industrial product prices from imports saw a modest rise of 0.1%.

“Compared to the second quarter, the mining and quarrying sector saw a 1.1% increase, while the manufacturing sector recorded a 0.1% growth,” Monstat said.

Meanwhile, prices for industrial products for export in Montenegro saw a more significant increase of 6.6% in the third quarter, compared to the same period in 2023.

“Compared to the third quarter of last year, the mining and quarrying sector and the manufacturing industry saw increases of 12.6% and 5.6%, respectively,” the report added.

In relation to the second quarter, the prices for industrial products for export increased by 0.6%.

“Compared to the second quarter, the mining and quarrying sector experienced a 1.7% decline, while the manufacturing sector recorded a 1% increase,” the statement concludes.
