The Government of Montenegro abandons port services concession at Bar Port

During its latest session, the Montenegrin government decided to withdraw from providing port services at Bar Port. This decision follows a judicial ruling from February last year, which annulled the government’s previous decision to award concessions.

Consequently, contracts with Jadro Pilot and Tug Services from July 8, 2020, and LA PLUMA BAR PILOT & TUGBOAT SERVICE MONTENEGRO from July 20, 2020, are not legally binding. As a result, the government has formally abandoned the concession for services including pilotage, mooring/unmooring, towing, water delivery to ships, transport of port authorities and ship chandlers at Bar Port.
