Montenegro’s Parliamentary leaders visit advanced Italian Energy Dispatch Center

The President of the Assembly of Montenegro and the chairpersons of the Boards of Directors of EPCG and CGES recently visited the Dispatcher Center of the Italian company Terna in Rome, recognized as the most advanced in Europe.

During the visit, the company emphasized its strong cooperation with CGES, particularly in relation to the project involving the underwater cable between Italy and Montenegro, as reported by the Assembly.

They noted that the company aims to strengthen the energy system by increasing connections with neighboring countries. In discussions with the President, the importance of developing the network and integrating electricity markets was highlighted.

The Montenegrin delegation had the opportunity to learn more about the business processes and operations of the Dispatcher Center, as well as the latest technologies and practices for managing the power system, especially under demanding conditions with a significant share of renewable energy sources.

The visit to Terna represents a step towards regional cooperation in the energy sector. It also aims to strengthen ties between Montenegrin energy companies and regional partners, contributing to further integration and connectivity of the markets.
