During the ceremony for enrolling a new generation of students at the Maritime Faculty in Kotor, Minister of Maritime Affairs Filip Radulović highlighted the maritime sector‘s vital role in Montenegro’s economy. He praised the country’s strategic location and rich maritime heritage, emphasizing that seafarers are essential in unlocking this potential.
Tatijana Dlabač, Dean of the faculty, pointed out that over one percent of Montenegro’s population is engaged in the maritime sector, significantly contributing to the economy. She stressed the necessity of focusing on education and training for seafarers to enhance their skills and qualifications.
The event underscored that the maritime industry not only bolsters the economy but also plays a crucial role in promoting Montenegrin culture and traditions internationally.
