Strong growth in retail trade turnover in Montenegro: Q3 2023 highlights

In the third quarter of this year, retail trade turnover increased by 8.4% in current prices and 6.9% in constant prices compared to the same period last year, according to data from Monstat.

Retail turnover in the third quarter of this year was up 21.8% in current prices and 21.2% in constant prices compared to the second quarter of this year.

Statistics show that the turnover in retail trade of motor fuels in the third quarter increased by 1.2% compared to the same period last year, and by 26.2% compared to the second quarter of this year.

“Turnover in retail food trade in the third quarter of this year rose by 7.4% compared to the same period last year, and by 27.9% compared to the second quarter of this year,” the statement said.

The turnover in retail trade of pharmaceutical and cosmetic products increased by 9.3% compared to the same period last year and by 12.4% compared to the second quarter of this year.

“Turnover in retail trade of other non-food products grew by 10.2% compared to the same period last year and by 15.7% compared to the second quarter of this year.”
