By the end of July, the total inflow of foreign direct investments (FDI) in Montenegro reached €501.96 million, while outflows from the country totaled €207.16 million, according to preliminary data from the Central Bank (CBCG).
The net inflow of FDI, which is the difference between inflows and outflows, was €294.8 million, indicating a 6.64% increase compared to the same period last year.
The Bulletin reports that the total inflow of FDI has decreased by 0.84% compared to the previous year.
Outflows from Montenegro due to resident investments abroad amounted to €56.32 million, while withdrawals by non-residents invested in Montenegro totaled €150.84 million.
The inflow of FDI through equity investments was €302.11 million, accounting for 60.19% of the total. Of this, €237.25 million was invested in real estate, while €64.86 million was directed toward businesses and banks.
Furthermore, the inflow of FDI in the form of intercompany loans reached €181.24 million, reflecting a 15.02% increase compared to the same period last year.
