Montenegro strengthens U.S. ties through economic collaboration

Vice Prime Minister for Economic Policy and Minister of Economic Development, Mr. Nik Đeljošaj, recently met with the U.S. Ambassador to Montenegro, H.E. Judy Rising Reinke. The meeting focused on enhancing bilateral relations and cooperation in economic development.

During the meeting, Đeljošaj outlined the Ministry’s efforts regarding Montenegro’s European integration, specifically addressing the legislative and administrative steps required to close chapters 7, 10, and 20 of the accession process.

He highlighted the significance of the strong partnership between Montenegro and the United States, stating, “The U.S. is our key ally, and through our collaboration and American expertise in economy, trade, investment, and development projects, Montenegro benefits from substantial support.” He also mentioned ongoing efforts to deepen ties with U.S. companies operating in Montenegro, as well as potential investors, which could serve as models for local small and medium-sized enterprises to enhance their production and development capabilities.

“We are committed to strengthening our partnership through intensified economic cooperation, and our economic dialogue exemplifies the robust ties we share,” concluded Vice Prime Minister Đeljošaj.
