The Tax Administration (TA) and the Association of Managers (AM) are set to enhance their communication and information exchange crucial for the economy.
The leadership of TA and AM convened to discuss pivotal issues aimed at improving the business environment.
Present at the meeting were acting TA Director Sava Laketić, acting Assistant Director of TA’s Large Taxpayers Sector Mijat Ilinčić, AM President Budimir Raičković, AM Assembly President Slavoljub Popadić, and Executive Director Anđela Radosavović.
TA presented plans for its reform, focusing on increasing efficiency and transparency within the institution.
“The importance of modernizing and digitalizing processes to reduce bureaucratic hurdles and expedite procedures was emphasized. AM highlighted the necessity for expanding online services, particularly for employee registrations, tax filings, and other administrative certificates, which would significantly streamline business operations,” the announcement stated.
Discussions also covered the need for bolstering TA’s workforce to deliver high-quality services and meet the demands of the business community effectively.
AM and TA affirmed their commitment to collaborate on training and development programs to enhance employee skills and competencies.
The meeting underscored the importance of regular and improved information exchange between TA and the business sector, including through scheduled meetings and consultations.
Participants agreed that TA’s operations directly impact Montenegro’s business environment, stressing the importance of efficiency and transparency in fostering a more favorable business climate that attracts both domestic and foreign investors.
AM commended TA’s efforts in handling Value Added Tax (VAT) refunds.
The meeting concluded on a positive note, with an agreement to continue such engagements in the future to ensure ongoing cooperation and dialogue between TA and AM.
