The Podgorica-based companies CDS Projekt, Via Project and Geotin MNE will design the conceptual project for the Andrijevica-Berane-Boljare highway section. Their bid, valued at 3.65 million euros, was selected in the tender issued by Monteput.

Subcontractors on the project include Aqua Engineering, Intecon and GP Team from Podgorica, MMK Control from Bar, and Optimus Project from Bijelo Polje.

A bid from the consortium CIP-DB-GIM was also received but excluded from the public procurement process.

Monteput had originally launched the first tender for this section in January of this year, where the bid from the Monte-Tim consortium was selected as the most favorable. However, this decision was later annulled following a complaint filed by the Civil Engineer consortium.

A new tender was published in September, with a submission deadline of October 10. The value of this new tender was close to 5 million euros, excluding VAT.

This section is crucial for the highway leading to the Serbian border, where the highway will continue towards Požega and further towards Belgrade.

The road will be constructed to highway standards, with all necessary facilities, representing an important step in the development of Montenegro’s infrastructure. It will significantly enhance the country’s transportation network and regional connectivity. The section is part of the Belgrade – Southern Adriatic route, which connects the main Trans-European Motorway (TEM) corridor (from Gdansk to Athens and Istanbul) with the Adriatic Sea in Montenegro.

The project involves the construction of three interchanges: Andrijevica, Berane, and Crnča. It will also include a maintenance base, toll stations at the Berane, Crnča and Boljare interchanges, as well as rest areas, gas stations and motels.
