Two more companies approved for solar power projects in Nikšić

The Environmental Protection Agency has granted approval to two more companies for the construction of solar power plants. These investments will take place in the Nikšić municipality, with Green Energy Provider and Green Energy Investment behind the projects.

Both companies have received the Agency’s consent on their Environmental Impact Assessment reports.

Green Energy Provider plans to build a solar power plant across multiple parcels in the Muževice and Krstac neighborhoods. The proposed solar system will have a total installed capacity of 100 MWp, with a peak capacity of 80 MW. The total area of the parcels is approximately 108 hectares, though not the entire area will be used for the project. The company received urban-technical conditions for the project in September of the previous year.

The second solar power plant, by Green Energy Investment, will be located in the Šipačno area of Nikšić. The total area of the parcels for this plant is 228 hectares, with the energy facility having a capacity of 160 MW. Urban-technical conditions for this project were also issued in September of the previous year.
