An article spotlighting Montenegro as an exceptionally alluring destination offering remarkable value for money, particularly when compared to neighboring Croatia, has been featured in the British publication Inews, as announced by the National Tourism Organization (NTO).
This article stems from a study visit by journalists from Great Britain, supported by the NTO.
Andrew Eames, a highly acclaimed British travel writer contributing to numerous British media outlets, immersed himself in Montenegro’s tourist offerings from April 22nd to 25th.
In his piece for the Inews portal, he intricately described his experience in Kotor, emphasizing its natural splendor, cultural heritage sites, and budget-friendly prices.
“For over a millennium, Kotor has been lauded as a ‘sanatorium’: the UNESCO-protected area is adorned with vegetation boasting endemic medicinal properties—beneficial for allergies and various respiratory ailments. Moreover, it’s visually captivating. From my lodgings, I beheld Perast, a waterfront enclave dotted with Venetian villas, while witnessing the sunset on the opposing shore. Majestic mountains envelop the entire bay, ascending to heights of 900 meters above sea level,” he penned in the article.
Eames relished a luxurious stay at the Hyatt Regency Kotor Bay Resort, offered at considerably more favorable rates than analogous accommodations in Dubrovnik.
Beyond the competitive pricing for accommodations, dining, and activities compared to Dubrovnik, the British journalist extolled Kotor’s natural allure. He explored two islands, Sveti Đorđe and Gospa od Škrpjela, in addition to scaling the heights of the fortress of Sveti Ivan, a demanding ascent rewarded with panoramic views of the bay.
With a print circulation reaching approximately 130,000 readers and an online audience of over eight million, the article is anticipated to garner substantial attention. This coverage further solidifies Montenegro’s standing in the British market, portraying it as a destination that promises an unforgettable getaway for travelers of all budgets.
