Montenegro and Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) maintain exceptional neighborly relations, with discussions emphasizing the need for more intensive air connections, as noted by Tourism Minister Simonida Kordić and the Bosnian ambassador in Podgorica, Branimir Jukić.

“The physical, cultural, and mental closeness forms the basis for our strong relations. Because of this, we feel at home in Bosnia and Herzegovina, just as you do in Montenegro. Considering everything, I believe we should think about enhancing air connections and promoting weekend tourism with better connectivity,” Kordić stated.

Jukić also congratulated Montenegro on its progress toward meeting European standards.

“Montenegro is a leader on the European path. I want to emphasize that you have full and sincere support from Bosnia and Herzegovina in this endeavor. I am convinced that the countries of the Western Balkans will soon be integral parts of the European Union, which will help resolve some of the issues affecting tourism,” Jukić noted.

Kordić added that the integration process into the EU is an absolute foreign policy priority for Montenegro, and that there is no alternative, expressing hope that the current government will seize the opportunity before it.

The meeting was also attended by State Secretaries Vuk Žižić and Petar Drašković.
